Preview of Max and Whiskers.

I never do this hardly. Show anything "in progress" that is... but I'm rather infatuated with this fabric line (Max and Whiskers by BasicGrey for Moda) and I actually wasn't a huge fan of it until I saw a finished quilt in it - the COLORS! Goodness I love them. And the prints are very adorable. Oh, and there's a touch more City Weekend that needs to be posted as well tomorrow. See? Too much sewing time on my hands this week :o) Well, there's never too much.

City Weekend

Possibly had WAY too much time for sewing this week - but don't tell my kids or maybe they won't be so good next week. :o) A fun little playmat in City Weekend by Oliver and S for Moda. More pics and details here.

Sunkissed Nine Patch

This nine patch has been staring me down from across the room on the design wall... and it won the staring contest. It's about 49" x 43" and 100% Sunkissed fabric - saturated in spring. Love. More pics here.

Good use for a quilt.

I had never really thought much about it - but all my quilts are quite awesome photography backdrops for baby photos.

My photography friend (you can check her stuff out here) suggested it and I love it.

I love that this is how his first photo shoot went.

Took another round to get any non-screaming photos.

He's very sensitive to anything disrupting his routine.

Maybe it was swing time.

Seriously, he loves that thing.

Lemon Meringue

Invisible zipper...

Yellow and white tiny polka dots...

Yellow and white striped knit pants...

Blue skirt...

Green and white polka dot ribbon...

Applique lemons...

Applique lemon pockets...

Polka dot blue and green ribbon bow...

The whole thing...

A friend asked me to make this for her daughter... based on the Lemon Meringue character in Strawberry Shortcake.

What a fun challenge!

I have a strange desire to put lemon pockets on everything now too.

I mean seriously - those things are cute!

The manufacturing of zippered clothing has definitely improved in the last few years. I've actually gotten to the point that I can just do it and not dread it! Ha!

More to post tomorrow - my light went away...

Yes, I personally own rights to the sun.

Child's Tote

Custom ordered child's tote.
My little who wants one too.
Back to the cutting table I go.
I think I should add a ruffled top...

Spring without allergies

Table Topper in Sunkissed by Sweetwater for Moda.

This is one of the only way I enjoy spring without getting the full allergy attack.
Just beautiful spring colored fabrics all over the design wall.

More coming in this line too... hopefully later this week.
Also, it's in the shop.

Prayer Flag Table Runner

I had a hankering for a quick split nine patch quilt.
But then it sat for two months without binding.
Sad story huh?
I know, every quilter has this story.
But it still seems like a tragedy every time.

This one is a table topper in Prayer Flag by April Cornell for Moda. (shop pics)

And now with this one off the table I can focus a little better on my current quest with Sunkissed (Sweetwater)... It's making spring even better :o)

A Slow Walk in the Park

I feel like everything takes forever to accomplish now.
A simple run into the store to grab 3 items takes over a half hour.
Efficiency is a "thing of the past" these days.
Such is life.

But with much effort and my running outside at dusk to get this picture - this quilt happily moves to the completed column in my head (you know, that endless to do list that lives in there!).

It's a large baby quilt/small lap quilt size (40" x 50") in Central Park by Kate Spain for Moda (love).

More pics are posted with the listing in the shop.

I'm sure none of you other moms ever find that there's too little time in the day, right? :o)
